These are not motor vehicles and for this reason there’s no need for a driving license or even to take a test. !4 yrs is the age limit and the driver should be free of alcohol, drugs or medication to be able to drive one. An advantage of this kind of motor mobility is there’s no need to pay the vehicle excise duty called the tax but it’s necessary to register the scooter or wheelchair with the DVLA and display a ‘nil duty’ tax disc. There’s no need for a registration plate for such class 3 vehicles. Although, there’s no need, it’s advisable to take insurance.
